About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide first-line engineering support to resolve daily operational issues in semiconductor equipment manufacturing.
- Design and develop cost-effective, innovative testing methods and diagnostic programs to meet manufacturing efficiency and quality standards.
- Perform systematic troubleshooting and root cause analysis of manufacturing issues, implementing both immediate containment and long-term corrective actions.
- Drive new product industrialization by optimizing manufacturing processes for quality, cost, and lead time.
- Lead continuous improvement projects focused on capacity, efficiency, and quality enhancement.
- Partner with cross-functional teams in Global Operations and Business Units to ensure alignment on assembly sequences, cycle times, and production schedules.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Automation Engineering, or an equivalent field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience specifically within the semiconductor capital equipment industry.
- Hands-on expertise in electrical testing and troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of testing methodologies and scripting languages such as C# or Python.
- Experience with control systems and protocols including TwinCAT PLC, Ethercat, Device Net, or serial communications (RS 485, RS 232).
- Proficiency in operational excellence and quality tools such as FMEA, 8D, SPC, DMAIC, or Six Sigma.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proven experience in project management for multiple New Product Introduction (NPI) programs.
- Background in supplier development or working within contract manufacturing environments.
- Exposure to manufacturing digitization and data-driven process improvement.
