About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide expert-level technical support for advanced PECVD and plasma-based semiconductor equipment
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex electro-mechanical, plasma, and software-related issues
- Lead root cause analysis and communicate countermeasures to customers and internal teams
- Partner with engineering teams to provide design feedback and reliability improvements
- Support system installations, upgrades, and customer technical training
- Coordinate technical activities including repair, preventive maintenance, and upgrades at customer sites
- Collaborate with global support teams across Japan, Korea, and the United States
- Travel globally up to 50% of the time to support customer sites
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related science
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with PECVD or plasma technologies
- Strong background in troubleshooting semiconductor manufacturing equipment
- Proficiency in both English and Japanese for internal and external communication
- Proven experience in customer-facing roles with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations
- Willingness and ability to travel globally up to 50%
Preferred Qualifications
- Mandarin proficiency
- Experience working with senior stakeholders (Directors and VPs)
- Experience collaborating in cross-functional, global teams
- Experience with plasma-related processes such as etching
