About the role
Responsibilities
- Own operational performance of contract manufacturers, ensuring production plans, cycle times, yields, and on-time delivery meet business targets.
- Serve as the senior technical/operations interface for escalations, root-cause investigations, and corrective/preventive actions (8D/CAPA).
- Lead manufacturing process engineering for PCBA (SMT and thru-hole) and system/box build, driving process controls and standardization.
- Analyze manufacturing KPIs such as yield, scrap, rework, and throughput to implement data-driven improvements using SPC and DOE.
- Drive cost and productivity initiatives including labor efficiency, line balancing, and waste reduction.
- Plan and execute NPI and production scale-up, providing DFM/DFT feedback and managing pilot builds.
- Facilitate Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and develop performance dashboards and risk assessments.
- Partner with Procurement to support Manufacturing Services Agreement (MSA) scope and performance expectations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.
- 7.5-10 years of experience in high-technology manufacturing with a focus on contract manufacturing operations.
- Deep knowledge of PCBA manufacturing (SMT, thru-hole) and system integration/box build.
- Proficiency with Lean/Six Sigma tools and methodologies (DOE, SPC, FMEA, Kanban, JIT).
- Strong capability with ERP/manufacturing systems and analytics/reporting tools.
- Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically to supplier/CM sites (0% - 25%).
- Must be a US citizen, Permanent US resident, or a protected individual as defined by US Export Control laws.

- Working knowledge of test engineering, component engineering, planning, and supplier quality practices.
