Senior Engineer II, Automation, INT

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of advanced automation architectures aligned with ISA-95 and ISA-88 standards.
• Drive CAPEX projects from concept through commissioning and transition into operational support.
• Oversee the deployment and support of DeltaV, PLCs, SCADA, and robotics systems.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrations across data lakes, WMS, and ERP platforms.
• Ensure strict adherence to 21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11, and data integrity requirements through CSV (IQ/OQ/PQ) activities.
• Partner with cross-functional teams including MSAT, Manufacturing, Quality, and IT to deliver scalable manufacturing solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to automation and process engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 9-12 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing and lab systems.
• Deep expertise in DeltaV Control Systems, including continuous and batch processes (S88).
• Proficiency with industrial protocols such as HART, Ethernet I/P, and OPC.
• Strong background in Computerized System Validation (CSV) and regulatory compliance (21 CFR Part 11).
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and managing system integrations.
• Hands-on experience with middleware tools (e.g., Kepware) and technical documentation (FRS, URS, CDS).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with advanced data analytics and multi-variate software such as SIMCA.
• Knowledge of integrating in-line PAT systems with DCS.
• Familiarity with robotics, fleet management systems, and SCADA.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
