Senior Engineer II - Applications (Physical Layer)

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the creation and support of market-leading PHY products through new concepts, simulations, and prototypes.
• Collaborate with design teams to transition concepts into reality and participate in the validation process.
• Author technical collateral and documentation for product designs.
• Provide technical support to customers to ensure adherence to product recommendations.
• Apply expertise in signal integrity and EMC to ensure product quality during the design and testing stages.
• Perform debugging and performance verification in internal and external laboratories.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Science (CS), or Computer Engineering (CE).
• 8+ years of experience in electronic engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in analog and digital circuit design.
• Experience with circuit and system-level simulation and analysis.
• Proficiency with measurement equipment including Oscilloscopes, Spectrum/Signal/Logic Analyzers, and VNAs.
• Experience with Signal Integrity and EMC testing and debugging.
• Background in the semiconductor industry and experience with Ethernet.
• Basic coding or scripting skills (e.g., Python, C, C++, C#, Java).
• Business-level proficiency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Experience in the automotive industry.
• Experience with (analog/digital) semiconductor design.
• Knowledge of compliance and certification processes.
• Experience in RF Design, debugging, or PCB Design (Altium).
• Firmware development and Python scripting skills.
• Soldering skills and German language proficiency.
