About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage the global product baseline and change process within a designated business unit to ensure successful implementation across product lines.
- Serve as the Product Change Lead, overseeing the entire process from initial change proposal to enterprise-wide execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product baselines and change control requirements.
- Identify critical components and assemblies to implement changes at operational sites and within customer-installed bases.
- Partner with stakeholders to develop efficient product change management processes that improve cycle time and minimize inventory impact.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing, supply chain, and product management regarding baselines and modifications.
- Ensure compliance with engineering documentation standards and maintain accuracy in Bill of Materials (BOM) management platforms.
- Oversee planning functions to ensure smooth transitions and effective implementation dates across operational sites.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
- 5+ years of experience managing complex technical programs and engineering projects.
- 3+ years of experience in product configuration and systems engineering.
- Proficiency with PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP S4 Hana).
- Proficiency in 3D CAD environments (CREO).
- Strong knowledge of Configuration Management (CMII) and Project Management (PMI) principles.
- Knowledge of inventory management and CPIM practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- CMII certification.
- Familiarity with Design for Six Sigma methodologies.
- Intermediate knowledge of complex mechanical/electrical model systems.
