About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership for the development of electronic systems for next-generation atomic clocks
  • Liaise with software and mechanical design teams to ensure robust and producible product designs
  • Guide and mentor electrical engineers on best practices for new product development and sustaining engineering
  • Develop and execute test and qualification plans for engineering prototypes
  • Design and capture schematics using CAD suites and collaborate with layout designers
  • Manage electrical designs in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools, including creating bills of material and engineering change orders
  • Provide troubleshooting support to production for new and existing products

Requirements

  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering
  • 5-7.5 years of relevant experience in hardware design
  • Deep understanding of analog designs, including active filters and control loops
  • Strong knowledge of mixed-signal circuits and data converters
  • Knowledge of digital interface physical layers such as USB, SPI, and I2C
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and product specifications
  • US citizenship or permanent residency required due to export control laws

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with component selection for space applications with radiation requirements
  • Proficiency in Programmable Logic (FPGA/CPLD) and HDL (VHDL/Verilog) design
  • Knowledge of RF and microwave synthesis
  • Experience with crystal oscillator design
  • Familiarity with Agile PLM tools
