Senior Engineer I - Physical Design

Responsibilities

• Implement complex mixed-signal, low-power designs using state-of-the-art FLASH process technologies
• Drive the execution of microcontrollers and SOC designs from new design exploration through GDSII delivery
• Conduct floorplan exploration, power grid planning, and optimization for die size estimation
• Execute placement, clock tree synthesis, and post-route timing optimization to meet design specifications
• Perform physical verification including DRC, LVS, and power integrity analysis (IR drop and EM signoff)
• Develop and enhance physical design flows and methodologies to improve efficiency and quality
• Collaborate with cross-functional global teams, including synthesis and DFT, to ensure successful tapeouts

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on Physical Design experience
• Proficiency in industry-standard tools such as Innovus or Fusion Compiler
• Knowledge of Calibre, Redhawk, or Starrcxt
• Strong scripting skills in TCL, PERL, and Shell
• Working knowledge of Verilog and VHDL
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and communication skills
