About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and develop advanced high-precision mechatronics products and automation stages, including sensors, servos, and actuators.
- Perform complex engineering calculations, including structural, thermal, and dynamic systems modeling.
- Create and revise detailed CAD models and drawings using CREO and AutoCAD.
- Manage engineering project plans, including task scheduling, resource estimation, and design reviews.
- Support the transition of products from design to manufacturing by creating comprehensive engineering documentation and test plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical problems and evaluate engineering change orders.
- Participate in technical discussions and travel to customer sites as required.
Requirements
- MS degree in mechanical engineering or a related field highly preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the design and development of complex mechanical systems (e.g., automation stages, wafer handling, or vacuum chambers).
- Proficiency in CREO and AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of materials, including metals, plastics, and surface coatings.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting technical concepts to management and peers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with semiconductor capital equipment or heavy capital equipment.
- Proficiency in ASME Y14.5 or ISO 1101:2017 geometric dimension and tolerance.
- Knowledge of deposition processes such as CVD, ALD, EPI, or PVD.
- Familiarity with PLCs, control systems (Modbus TCP/IP, EtherCAT), or MATLAB/Simulink/Python.
- Knowledge of industry standards such as CE, NFPA, or Semi S2-95.
