Senior Engineer I – Firmware

Responsibilities

• Develop firmware and software for ROC processor powered solutions using the C programming language
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software problems in embedded real-time systems
• Write unit test cases and validate developed components
• Participate in detailed design discussions, code reviews, and technical analysis for storage software solutions
• Collaborate with Applications and Marketing teams to support customer storage solutions
• Work with cross-geographical teams to design solutions and resolve customer issues
• Support current products and guide next-generation products through to production
• Write comprehensive engineering documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Electronics, Computer Science Engineering, or a related technical major
• 5 - 7.5 years of strong firmware development experience in embedded systems using C and Assembly
• 3+ years of experience with storage protocols such as SAS, SATA, or NVMe, and knowledge of PCIe
• Extensive experience in storage firmware design and implementation
• Proficiency with scripting languages, programming tools, and debug environments
• Basic understanding of RAID technologies
• Ability to use protocol analyzers and various debug tools
• Strong technical communication skills, both verbal and written

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to Storage Security features including Encryptions, SPDM, and Hash algorithms
• Exposure to Network protocols such as TCP/IP, ARP, and Ethernet frame formats
• Understanding of network device drivers
