Senior Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform project engineering activities including design, procurement, installation, commissioning, and start-up of new processing equipment
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement improvements to plant processes and operating procedures
• Lead engineering efforts to ensure site compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards
• Coordinate and direct process hazard analysis (PHA) and manage engineering MOC action items
• Support daily production by monitoring performance and troubleshooting problems
• Create operating procedures and training for new equipment and processes
• Mentor and direct the activities of junior engineers, process engineers, and interns
• Support Sales and Marketing with technical assistance for customers

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum ten years of Process or Project Engineering experience in the chemical-processing industry
• Minimum five years of capital project management experience interfacing with contractors
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to travel as needed and work outside normal business hours
• Ability to climb ladders and stairways up to 40 feet

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional education in Project Management
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and pipeline-sizing programs
