About the role
Responsibilities
- Contribute to GPU power optimization strategy at the RTL and microarchitecture level, defining power-efficient design choices and PPA tradeoffs.
- Perform detailed RTL power analysis and root-cause investigations using industry-standard tools to identify power bottlenecks and switching inefficiencies.
- Collaborate with RTL designers, performance architects, and validation teams to implement power-saving techniques such as clock gating and voltage scaling.
- Partner with hardware, software, and system-level design teams to align power optimization strategies with architectural intent and workload behaviors.
- Drive technical excellence by advancing best practices and exploring emerging GPU technologies and new power-optimizing techniques.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field.
- 2+ years of experience in GPU/CPU architecture, microarchitecture, and high-performance digital design.
- Hands-on experience with RTL power analysis and optimization using tools such as PowerArtist, PTPX, or Empower.
- Working knowledge of SystemVerilog and ASIC design flows, including synthesis and timing analysis.
- Familiarity with low-power design techniques, including clock gating, power gating, and managing dynamic vs. leakage power.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Perl.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
