Senior Engineer, Field Service

Responsibilities

• Lead the installation, qualification, maintenance, and repair of ASM semiconductor equipment at customer sites
• Own and drive the resolution of complex tool, system, and process issues
• Perform in-depth troubleshooting and root cause analysis to deliver data-driven corrective actions
• Manage customer escalations and coordinate cross-functional teams as needed
• Provide technical leadership on-site, including mentoring junior engineers and technicians
• Analyze tool performance and contribute feedback to product engineering and design teams

Requirements

• Strong experience in Field Service, Customer Engineering, or Product Support within the semiconductor equipment industry
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex electromechanical systems independently
• Deep understanding of semiconductor manufacturing environments, wafer fabs, and advanced process technologies
• Ability to interpret schematics, diagnostics, and system-level data
• Strong communication skills to translate complex technical issues into actionable plans
• Willingness to undergo 18-24 months of training in Hillsboro, OR, followed by relocation to Austin, TX

Preferred Qualifications

• Track record of resolving high-impact customer escalations
• Experience mentoring or coaching less experienced engineers
• Expertise in vacuum systems, plasma, gas delivery, or specific semiconductor processes
• Strong structured problem-solving approach and data-driven mindset
