Senior Engineer, Field Applications

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level technical support and consultation to customers throughout the entire product development cycle.
• Architect optimal solutions using ADI's product portfolio to meet complex customer requirements.
• Develop reference designs, evaluation boards, and rapid prototypes to validate product feasibility.
• Create high-quality technical documentation, including application notes and design guides.
• Debug challenging customer issues and deliver timely technical solutions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal design, product, and test engineering teams.
• Mentor junior Field Application Engineers and share technical expertise across the organization.
• Deliver compelling technical presentations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5-7 years of relevant technical experience in semiconductor applications.
• Advanced business-level Japanese proficiency (JLPT N1 or equivalent).
• Business-level English proficiency.
• Proficiency in C/C++ or Python.
• Strong knowledge of industry-standard protocols such as I2C, SPI, and UART.
• Experience with PCB design and layout.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer-facing technical role or as an FAE.
• Deep understanding of analog and mixed-signal circuit design.
• Experience with digital design, embedded systems, power management, or RF systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% to support customer engagements.
