Senior Engineer, Equipment Engineering

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of sputtering equipment used in hard disk media production
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime
• Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement effective corrective actions
• Collaborate with process engineers to optimize sputtering processes and develop new technologies
• Manage equipment upgrade projects, including planning, timelines, and budget management
• Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians
• Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain detailed technical reports
• Ensure all equipment and support systems comply with safety regulations and industry standards

Requirements

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Material, or related Engineering field
• 3-5 years of experience in equipment engineering, specifically within sputter media or semiconductor manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of vacuum systems and thin-film deposition techniques
• Proficiency in PLC programming and automation
• Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Six Sigma methodologies
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with high-vacuum technology and plasma physics
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
