Senior Engineer - Electrical

Responsibilities

• Design low voltage reticulation and distribution systems (230/400V), including UPS sources and general/emergency lighting.
• Utilize AMTECH or Electrical OM software for cable selection, protective device design, and result presentation.
• Design cable management systems (CMS) including trunking, tray, and conduits, including sizing calculations.
• Model 3D MEP services using Bentley Microstation and AECOsim, generating 2D sections for drawings.
• Manage projects from initial conception through to final completion, ensuring adherence to schedules.
• Supervise, mentor, and verify the work of Assistant Engineers and designers to ensure project requirements are met.
• Work within BIM environments and Common Data Environments, such as Bentley ProjectWise.
• Interpret client specifications and maintain high standards of Health and Safety for the team.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience in electrical design within a Rail environment or railway infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in AMTECH or Electrical OM software.
• Experience with Bentley Microstation and AECOsim for 3D modeling.
• Strong understanding of BIM and Common Data Environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional qualification (CEng) from an international professional institution.
• Professional membership with relevant engineering bodies.
