Senior Engineer - Data Architect

Responsibilities

• Design and manage data architecture and infrastructure automation across dev, staging, and production environments
• Provide database support including deployment, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and capacity planning
• Implement incremental security controls, secrets management, and user/role management
• Manage cloud infrastructure costs by estimating compute expenses and optimizing resource utilization
• Communicate technical pipeline architecture, implementation timelines, and cost tradeoffs to stakeholders
• Ensure data governance, quality management, and operational observability for data pipelines

Requirements

• Deep familiarity with microservices architectures and data integration patterns
• Proficiency with cloud infrastructure, containers, and scheduling platforms
• Strong understanding of data security principles and web technologies (HTTP, SSL, TCP, Caching)
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, and operational observability
• Strong understanding of data governance, quality management, and metadata systems
• Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Snowflake certifications (SnowPro Core or Advanced)
• Microsoft Azure certifications (DP-203, Azure Data Engineer Associate, or Azure Network Engineer Associate)
• Terraform Associate Certification
