Senior Engineer - Civil (Water/Wastewater/Conveyance)

Responsibilities

• Lead complex civil engineering design tasks for industrial water and wastewater facilities, including site layouts, grading, and pump stations.
• Develop and validate engineering calculations, drawings, technical memoranda, and Basis of Design Reports (BODR).
• Function as a technical discipline lead, providing guidance and oversight to engineers and CAD technicians.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary global teams (process, mechanical, electrical, structural) to ensure integrated facility designs.
• Ensure all designs comply with Black & Veatch Quality Management Systems and applicable US or international design standards.
• Manage project scope, budget, schedule, and quality requirements for assigned tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized accredited program.
• Minimum of 11 years of related work experience in civil engineering.
• Proven experience in industrial water and wastewater infrastructure design.
• Strong knowledge of US and international design standards and codes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 20+ years of relevant experience in industrial water and wastewater infrastructure design.
• Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale projects (desalination, ZLD, reuse) for international clients in a global delivery environment.
• Professional registration such as PE, CEng, or equivalent.
