Senior Engineer - BOP

Responsibilities

• Support business objectives by ensuring supplier commitment to vendor tooling cost competitiveness.
• Partner with Parts Purchase and Design teams to achieve optimum value for the business.
• Manage sourcing activities for Nissan models, including RFQs, expert-level tool analysis, and negotiations.
• Maintain industrial awareness by investigating the latest tooling manufacturing methods to ensure optimum costs.
• Assess requests for tool refurbishments or replacements using expert HPDC and assembly tool knowledge.
• Maintain key systems for tooling cost tracking and purchase orders while ensuring stringent quality standards.

Requirements

• Postgraduate experience in Die casting and general assembly tooling, preferably in the automotive or high-volume industry.
• Shop floor experience in HPDC and equipment tool manufacturing, maintenance, or automation/mechatronics.
• Strong understanding of tool and equipment design, assembly techniques, and automation technology.
• Proven track record of achieving cost reduction targets through benchmarking, negotiation, or COCA.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with a confident presentation style.
• Strong numerical skills for complex analysis and negotiation.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Openness to national and international travel.
