Senior Engineer - Asset Management

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve best-in-class asset assessment programs for physical utility assets.
• Provide data analysis and subject matter expertise regarding health and risk assessments of asset populations.
• Support repair or replace asset strategies and develop criteria for transmission, distribution, and substation analysis.
• Collaborate with internal business areas like Operations and Maintenance, as well as external stakeholders and industry peers.
• Influence regulatory outcomes by preparing high-quality asset management strategies and policies.
• Monitor health, risk, performance, and rates of deterioration for the physical asset base.
• Lead asset class and facility assessment studies to identify system needs and prioritize system-wide requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
• 5 years of related experience in transmission, substation, or distribution planning, design, operations, or asset management.
• Strong data gathering and analysis skills, including the ability to manipulate and interpret complex datasets.
• Practical knowledge of transmission and distribution power systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder influence.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced education such as an MBA.
• Professional Engineering (PE) License.
• Broad skills in utility asset management standards (e.g., ISO 55000 or Institute of Asset Management).
• Experience in engineering design, operations, or maintenance.
