Senior Engineer, ASIC Development Engineering

Responsibilities

• Perform pre and post-silicon validation of PCIe, SD, and USB memory products with various host platforms.
• Conduct failure analysis to determine root causes for test or product issues.
• Develop validation firmware using C/C++ in environments such as FPGA and simulators.
• Execute validation plans by converting test scenarios into comprehensive test cases.
• Utilize Verilog flows and simulation waves to debug controller designs.
• Support SOC bring-up, feature validation, and ASIC/storage drive debugging using logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.
• Implement automation ideas to improve bring-up and debug methodologies.
• Provide RMA support for issues reported by customers or field engineers.

Requirements

• BS/MS degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of storage protocols including eMMC, USB, SD, SDIO, or PCIe.
• Proficiency in C, Verilog, and Python programming languages.
• Hands-on experience with failure analysis and debugging complex hardware/firmware issues.
• Experience using lab tools such as logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and debuggers.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a technical mindset with high attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience specifically in validation and debugging.
• Experience coding in C for SSD embedded systems and Python for test automation.
• Direct experience with SSD firmware/validation in areas of USB, SD, PCIe/NVMe, or NAND.
