About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop software requirements and designs for gas turbine engine control and diagnostic systems within an Agile framework
- Decompose system-level and customer interface requirements into detailed software specifications
- Conduct iterative prototype testing, regression analysis, and software verification
- Develop and execute electronic bench test scripts and perform low-level module/object testing
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including software planning, estimating, and tracking
- Potential to serve as an Agile Scrum Master or a key member of the Development Team
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
- 5 years of engineering experience, or 3 years of experience with an advanced degree
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience developing software within an Agile framework
- Experience with safety-critical software development and regulatory standards such as DO178B
- Background in Controls Systems development and support
- Familiarity with jet engine control and diagnostic system architectures
- Strong cross-discipline communication skills and ability to work in high-pressure environments
