About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee energy efficiency project development through review of Energy Efficiency Reports, Energy Master Plans, and electrification feasibilities
- Support agency energy master planning and project prioritization using energy metrics and portfolio data
- Perform technical calculations and analysis using energy models, cost estimators, and equipment sizing tools
- Manage and track project development data and internal databases
- Liaise with agency partners, facility managers, consultants, and contractors
- Support strategic planning initiatives and provide technical expertise for public-facing events
- Oversee and manage Associate Engineers, providing training and technical guidance
Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree in architecture, engineering, building science, environmental science, or a related field
- Or completion of a 2-year construction trade apprentice program with 2 years of energy conservation experience
- Or 4 years of full-time experience in energy generation or conservation work
- Ability to maintain a valid New York State Motor Vehicle Driver License if required
