Senior Engine Programmer

Responsibilities

• Program in a clear and structured manner meeting performance, maintenance, and scalability requirements
• Develop, refactor, and optimize core engine systems for long-term stability
• Identify development needs and assess technical feasibility for engine modules
• Design and implement new systems to improve engine functionality
• Maintain performance and optimize systems to support production features
• Document work to facilitate knowledge transfer across teams
• Collaborate with multiple teams to optimize interactions between engine systems
• Debug complex performance issues and propose optimized solutions

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in the video game industry
• Excellent command of C++
• Ability to analyze and synthesize existing systems
• Skilled at debugging and solving complex problems
• General understanding of modern game engine architecture
• Knowledge of multithreaded programming and synchronization mechanisms
• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent training

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with modern game engines
• Proficiency in Unreal or Unity
• Knowledge of hardware architectures (Intel, AMD, Xbox, PlayStation)
• Familiarity with virtual machines and cloud services
