Responsibilities
- Program in a clear and structured manner meeting performance, maintenance, and scalability requirements
- Develop, refactor, and optimize core engine systems for long-term stability
- Identify development needs and assess technical feasibility for engine modules
- Design and implement new systems to improve engine functionality
- Maintain performance and optimize systems to support production features
- Document work to facilitate knowledge transfer across teams
- Collaborate with multiple teams to optimize interactions between engine systems
- Debug complex performance issues and propose optimized solutions
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in the video game industry
- Excellent command of C++
- Ability to analyze and synthesize existing systems
- Skilled at debugging and solving complex problems
- General understanding of modern game engine architecture
- Knowledge of multithreaded programming and synchronization mechanisms
- University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent training
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with modern game engines
- Proficiency in Unreal or Unity
- Knowledge of hardware architectures (Intel, AMD, Xbox, PlayStation)
- Familiarity with virtual machines and cloud services
