Senior Engine Programmer

Responsibilities

• Program in a clear and structured manner respecting performance, maintenance, modularity, scalability, and compatibility requirements
• Develop, refactor, and optimize core systems with a long-term vision
• Identify development needs and evaluate technical feasibility based on project goals
• Analyze existing engine functions and build/improve necessary modules
• Propose and implement new systems and innovative changes inspired by industry standards
• Maintain performance and support production-ready features and systems
• Document work to facilitate knowledge transfer across teams
• Collaborate with multiple teams to optimize engine system interactions
• Act as a resource for other programmers and solve complex performance issues

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in the video game industry
• Excellent mastery of C++
• Ability to analyze and synthesize existing systems
• Strong debugging and complex problem-solving skills
• General understanding of modern game engine architecture
• Knowledge of multithreaded programming and synchronization mechanisms
• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with modern game engines
• Mastery of Unreal or Unity
• Knowledge of hardware architectures (Intel, AMD, Xbox, PlayStation, etc.)
• Knowledge of virtual machines and cloud services
