Senior Engagement Producer

Responsibilities

• Assign, approve, and produce digital media content including tweets, videos, graphics, and memes
• Oversee the re-versioning of broadcast content specifically for digital and social platforms
• Lead social media coverage of live events, including live tweeting, fact-checking, and video editing
• Act as a primary voice in editorial meetings regarding emerging stories and social media trends
• Work with the Planning Department to develop coverage plans for future news events
• Lead experimentation with content creation and distribution strategies for new platforms
• Ensure consistent accuracy, quality, and verification of all content produced by the Engagement Production Team
• Collaborate with Engagement Editors to establish and document digital best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in journalism, digital media, or relevant professional experience
• At least 5 years of experience in online journalism or digital media
• At least 2 years of experience in a senior-level role
• Proven track record of producing high-performing content optimized for social media and digital platforms
• Exceptional editorial judgment and ability to vet and verify sources in a fast-moving news cycle
