Senior Employment Counsel

Responsibilities

• Provide employment law advice and counseling to the People team and stakeholders in North America
• Draft and revise employment-related documents including offer letters and separation agreements
• Manage employment-related projects, policy creation, and process improvements
• Create and provide training programs on employment law topics
• Provide foundational support for employment-related litigation, claims, and investigations
• Support data-driven decision making regarding employment matters
• Monitor employment law legislation and regulatory developments in North America
• Drive day-to-day execution of employment matters in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• 6+ years of employment law experience
• Law degree from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice in New York or eligible to register as In-House Counsel in New York
• Ability to work effectively in an office setting with high personal interaction
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to proactively spot risk
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex legal concepts to non-lawyers

Preferred Qualifications

• International employment law experience
