Senior Employment Counsel

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary employment law advisor to the People team and business leaders on recruiting, employee relations, performance management, and compliance
• Draft and negotiate employment-related documents including offer letters, PIIAs, and separation agreements
• Advise on employment aspects of equity compensation programs and international plan mechanics
• Support employment law matters across international offices by working with local outside counsel
• Collaborate with People and Finance teams to support hiring and organizational scaling
• Develop and deliver employment law training programs

Requirements

• 6+ years of legal experience with a mix of large law firm and in-house tech experience
• Deep expertise in US state and federal employment law
• Experience advising on international employment across multiple jurisdictions (UK, EU, APAC, or LatAm preferred)
• Excellent drafting skills for business-ready employment documents
• Strong judgment as a trusted advisor to HR and business leaders

Preferred Qualifications

• Passion for AI and understanding of LLMs and related legal issues
• Significant experience at a top-tier, internationally recognized law firm
• Experience scaling global employment/HR programs at high-growth technology companies
• Experience with international equity compensation mechanics
