About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as a senior-level consultant and advisor to HR Business Partners and leaders on complex employee relations and compliance matters
- Lead and oversee comprehensive workplace investigations regarding misconduct, discrimination, harassment, and policy violations
- Provide strategic recommendations for corrective actions, performance management, and workforce reduction strategies
- Advise leadership on wage and hour compliance under FLSA and relevant state laws
- Act as a subject-matter expert on ADA compliance, including the interactive process and reasonable accommodations
- Partner with in-house counsel to assess complex employment matters and support legal documentation
- Identify systemic trends and advise on policy improvements and proactive risk mitigation
- Develop and deliver training programs on employment compliance and best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Legal, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in employee relations, investigations, or employment compliance
- Expert knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws, including FLSA, FMLA, and ADA
- Proven experience handling high-risk workplace investigations and providing strategic consultation
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for drafting investigative findings
- Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and integrity
Preferred Qualifications
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification
- Experience designing and delivering training to internal and external audiences
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms and case management systems
