About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for employee relations, workplace issues, and policy interpretation
- Conduct investigations, fact-finding, and provide resolution recommendations
- Partner with managers to address performance, conflicts, and policy compliance
- Administer Leave of Absence programs, workplace accommodations, and workers' compensation
- Coordinate immigration case administration with external counsel
- Draft and implement People policies, procedures, and operational guidelines
- Develop systems and reporting to improve visibility into employee relations and compliance
- Collaborate with Legal, Payroll, Finance, and Talent Acquisition on workplace initiatives
Requirements
- Experience managing employee relations matters and workplace investigations
- Experience applying California employment practices and compliance requirements
- Experience administering leave of absence, accommodations, or workers' compensation
- Experience partnering with Legal on sensitive employee matters
- Ability to lawfully access information subject to US export controls
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a standard office environment and move throughout facilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting multi-state employee populations
- Proficiency with HRIS, Jira, Power BI, or similar operational technologies
- Experience developing dashboards and workforce insight metrics
- Familiarity with immigration administration and vendor coordination
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Organizational Psychology, or Analytics
