About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct internal investigations regarding workplace complaints or concerns
- Manage sensitive, confidential, and emotionally charged employee situations
- Partner with Legal, Compliance, and People Operations to ensure policy compliance
- Act as an advisor to managers on difficult conversations and complex policy questions
- Provide guidance on California-specific mandates including meal/rest breaks and harassment prevention
- Identify workplace risks and report trends to leadership to guide culture improvements
Requirements
- 8+ years of deep HR generalist experience
- Deep expertise in California labor law and wage-and-hour regulations
- Proven ability to conduct thorough internal investigations
- Exceptional interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to travel periodically (up to 25%)
- Must be based in Sunnyvale or San Francisco, CA
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in fast-growing or scaling business environments
- Experience navigating CRD compliance frameworks
