Senior EMI/EMC Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define EMI/EMC test and compliance philosophy for K2 Avionics
• Lead design of EMC test infrastructure, including hardware and software for high-rate development and production testing
• Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to test and correct EMI-susceptible and high emissions electrical designs
• Investigate novel EMI mitigation solutions at systems, component, and materials levels
• Run test campaigns to generate launch provider and customer deliverables

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related discipline
• 4+ years of experience in an EMI/EMC related role
• Strong grasp of EMI first principles
• Experience in project management and cross-disciplinary application

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with MIL-STD-461 and SMC-S-008
• Experience designing differential and common-mode EMI filters
• Proficiency in Python, Rust, or other languages for test automation
• Familiarity with high voltage DCDC converter topologies and EMI impacts
• Familiarity with high-speed digital communications protocols and EMI impacts
• Experience with Altium Designer for PCBA design
