Senior Embedded Systems Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Review product security designs, document missing security controls, and drive analysis for security improvements.
• Execute and review threat modeling, attack surface enumeration, and attack tree creation for embedded system products.
• Research and propose technologies that satisfy client requirements and align with their security strategies.
• Perform end-to-end security posture assessments via source code auditing, functional testing, and fuzz testing.
• Verify that implementation aligns with product security architecture, requirements, and threat models.
• Document and present product security risks using both technical and business-oriented language.
• Support and mentor a small team of security engineers in researching bleeding-edge technologies.

Requirements

• MSc or BSc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent.
• 4+ years of experience in embedded, general, or special-purpose computer system-level software security.
• Proven experience developing, auditing, or testing security solutions for embedded, IoT, or mobile/smartphone systems.
• Proficiency in C, C++, Rust, or Assembly (ARM) within the context of system software like bootloaders, drivers, or kernels.
• Deep understanding of secure boot, firmware integrity, OTA updates, and hardware-backed device attestation.
• Familiarity with TEE, TPM, SE, SPU, and other technologies used to isolate security-critical operations.
• Experience with ARM architecture and debugging software on these platforms.
• Strong English communication skills and experience working with international teams.
