Senior Embedded Software/Firmware Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, enhance, and update firmware subsystems and portions
• Analyze design requirements to determine necessary coding, programming, and integration activities
• Write and execute comprehensive testing plans, protocols, and documentation
• Identify, debug, and resolve complex issues within code and application architecture
• Lead project teams consisting of firmware engineers and development partners (internal and outsourced)
• Collaborate with management and partners regarding design status, project progress, and issue resolution
• Represent the firmware engineering team during all phases of large-scale development projects
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced staff members

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or an equivalent field
• Over 10 years of professional experience in embedded systems
• Expertise in multiple firmware design tools and programming languages
• Proven experience in designing firmware and managing hardware-software integration
• Strong background in firmware testing methodologies, including test plan execution, debugging, and script development
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present architectures and design proposals to management levels
