Senior Embedded Software Engineer

About the Company

Velmenni is a leading player in the Li-Fi industry, utilizing the visible light spectrum to facilitate high-speed data communication. As a funded startup, we are disrupting the optical wireless communication industry by building next-generation Li-Fi based wireless communication systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop complex projects with minimal guidance
• Perform embedded software development in C/Linux on 32-bit ARM-based platforms
• Produce unique solutions for technical challenges including C coding and communication system architecture
• Develop test environments and perform rigorous testing
• Spearhead technical project teams with responsibility for performance, cost, and schedules
• Stay updated on current technical advancements and trends in embedded systems

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• 4+ years of experience in software and firmware development
• 4+ years of C/C++ and embedded software development experience
• Experience with 8-bit and 32-bit ARM microprocessors and microcontrollers
• Extensive experience in multi-threading systems
• Experience building scalable embedded Linux applications and iterative performance tuning
• Strong ability to architect and design embedded systems
• Proficiency with test and analysis equipment for embedded device development
• Strong fundamental knowledge of wireless communication systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's or PhD degree
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, ARP, HTTP, HTTPS)
• Experience with IPv4/IPv6
• Knowledge of modulation/demodulation and networking protocols
