Senior Embedded Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and integrate software for embedded Linux targets including headless applications, servers, and drivers
• Perform feasibility studies and performance analysis of embedded Linux components
• Configure Linux kernel and board support packages across various platforms
• Troubleshoot complex system-level issues from bootloaders to user space applications
• Plan, organize, and track execution of projects with teams of engineers
• Define system requirements and project scope
• Provide coaching and mentoring to team members

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• Four years of experience developing embedded Linux software
• Two years of experience with asymmetric multi-processing
• Two years of experience with Yocto Project
• Two years of experience leading project teams
• Experience with RTOS development (FreeRTOS preferred)
• Experience with C++, Python, and Object-Oriented design
• Experience with device drivers, data link layer, and cross-compilation
• Experience with common lab test equipment like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency
