Senior Embedded Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Implementation of software portion of MAC and mobile ad-hoc networking routing protocols
• Development of network management software and web interfaces
• Implementation of security protocols and encryption algorithms
• Implementation of audio streaming and push to talk voice applications
• Analyze and improve product security to meet NIST FIPS 140-3 and NIAP Common Criteria requirements
• Implementation of testing software for product performance and reliability
• Device drivers and board support package development for ARM and RISC-V based systems
• Linux system customization and scripting

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant field
• Minimum 5 years of embedded system software development experience
• Expertise in C programming
• Experience in Linux kernel driver development
• Must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications

• Master of Science in Electrical, Computer, or Communications Engineering, or Computer Science
• Experience with CNSA security protocols and encryption algorithms
• Experience with socket programming and Internet/Ethernet protocols
• Understanding of MAC and Networking layers of communication systems
• Experience with AMD UltraScale+, MPSoC, or Microchip Polarfire SoC
• Experience with BSP development
• Deep understanding of IPsec, network protocols, and data authentication
• Linux Interrupt Service Routine development
