Senior Embedded Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of the software development life cycle for military and commercial programs, from concept and requirements to design, development, and integration.
• Provide creative solutions to complex technical system and software integration problems.
• Collaborate closely with Systems Engineers to design solutions that meet end-user and operational needs.
• Perform testing, integration, and potential maintenance tasking for new and legacy programs.

Requirements

• STEM degree (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in C++ design paradigms on Linux, VxWorks, or other Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
• Experience developing, testing, and integrating real-time software applications written in C++.
• Experience with computer scripting languages such as Shell, Perl, or Python.
• Active and transferable U.S. Government issued Top Secret security clearance required on day one.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional coding experience in C, C#, or Java.
• Experience working in lab environments with physical hardware, such as test benches or simulators.
• Ability to quickly navigate complex systems and established code bases.
• Experience with Agile software development processes and Scrum techniques.
