Senior Embedded Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own software design, development, and testing for exterior and interior lighting systems
• Lead software design to ensure scalability across vehicle platforms
• Collaborate with system engineering teams for requirement accuracy and traceability
• Participate in hardware design and schematic reviews
• Mentor junior engineers in developing optimized code for RAM, compute, and flash
• Perform hardware bring-up and board-level software verification
• Develop validation strategies and spearhead feature-level calibration
• Create test cases and scripts for Unit, SIL, and HIL test environments
• Prioritize and escalate issues based on user impact and program objectives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
• 5+ years of experience with automotive control systems
• Expertise in C and Python programming
• Deep understanding of embedded systems architecture and RTOS
• Knowledge of data structures, microcontroller architectures, and memory management
• Proficiency with Agile and Scrum methodologies
• Experience with JIRA, JAMA, and Git
• Proficiency with CAN/LIN/ETH tools such as Vector CANalyzer, CANoe, or CANape
• Ability to travel up to 20%

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in engineering
• Experience with lighting, graphic design, or pixel rendering
• Linux experience
