Senior Embedded Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate foundational platform software for controls boards, including drivers, operating systems, and middleware
• Design, develop, and deploy embedded software for power management, vehicle reset, occupancy detection, diagnostics, and OTA updates
• Collaborate with hardware teams on design, schematics, and hardware validation
• Partner with cross-functional teams including Charging, Body Controls, Infotainment, and Vehicle Dynamics

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in embedded software/firmware development
• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Expert C programming skills
• Deep familiarity with Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS)
• Expertise in embedded software development and optimization
• Understanding of multi-threaded and multi-core programming
• Proficiency with microcontrollers and hardware bring-up
• Experience with systems involving live sensor inputs
• Hands-on experience with debugging tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with automotive communication protocols such as CAN, UDS, and DOIP
• Experience with battery monitoring firmware or power electronics
