Senior Embedded Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software for the navigation product range using C/C++
• Collaborate with hardware teams to ensure designs meet software requirements
• Develop software tools, diagnostics, and infrastructure for hardware bring-up and manufacturing
• Work with Product Managers to ensure project requirements and timelines are met
• Take ownership of project components and manage deadlines and reporting
• Proactively utilize modern AI-assistance tools to optimize coding workflows
• Develop software in compliance with international and industry-specific standards

Requirements

• 5+ years of engineering experience with complex C/C++ embedded software products
• Degree in computer systems, software, mechatronics, or a similar field
• Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and real-time application development
• Experience with low power electronics and microcontrollers
• Experience with FreeRTOS real-time operating system
• STM32 low-level programming experience
• Proficiency in C/C++
• Experience with Linux and containerized applications
• Experience with all stages of the product development cycle

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong mathematics and physics background
• Control system proficiency
• MATLAB and Python proficiency
• Experience with ARM Cortex-A53 microprocessors within FPGA SoC environments (AMD/Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+)
• Experience with the Yocto Project build system
