Senior Embedded Reverse Engineer

Responsibilities

• Analyze embedded systems software and electronic hardware to characterize complex systems
• Work directly with customers to understand and accomplish mission objectives
• Solve challenging technical puzzles and provide creative solutions
• Draft technical reports regarding system characteristics, including hardware and firmware functionality

Requirements

• BS or MS in Computer/Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience
• US Citizenship and an active Secret security clearance (ability to obtain TS/SCI with CI Polygraph required)
• Experience with embedded processor assembly languages such as ARM or TI DSPs
• Proficiency with reverse engineering tools like IDA Pro, Ghidra, Radare2, or Binary Ninja
• Understanding of serial data protocols including SPI and I2C
• Experience with digital circuit analysis, design, and reading wiring diagrams or schematics
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with embedded operating systems and embedded systems analysis
• Capture The Flag (CTF) competition experience
• Working knowledge of high-level programming languages such as C, C++, or Python
• Experience with analog circuit analysis and design
• Proficiency using JTAG debuggers, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes
• Virtualization experience using tools like QEMU or Renode
• Development experience targeting Xilinx or Altera devices
• Demonstrated experience managing and leading technical teams
