We work with pioneering clients to develop technology, design products, and bring those products to production across industries including biomedical instruments, industrial automation, and consumer electronics.

Responsibilities

  • Develop embedded software for a wide range of products including medical devices, robotics, and industrial automation
  • Interact directly with customers to discuss capabilities and demonstrate solutions
  • Work closely with electrical and mechanical engineers on electromechanical systems
  • Support hardware demonstrations with customers as needed
  • Architect scalable systems and solve complex technical problems

Requirements

  • BS in computer science, electrical engineering, robotics, or related engineering discipline
  • 8-12+ years of experience as a firmware engineer on various hardware platforms
  • Experience in a consulting capacity interfacing with clients
  • Strong background in electromechanical systems (actuators, motors, sensors)
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and scripting languages like Python
  • Experience with microcontrollers and peripherals (UART, SPI, I2C, USB, GPIO, ADC, PWM)
  • Expertise in debugging hardware/firmware using logic analyzers, multimeters, and oscilloscopes
  • Experience with RTOS (FreeRTOS, Zephyr), embedded Linux, or Bare Metal development
  • Proficiency with Git and Jira

Preferred Qualifications

  • Implementation of control algorithms and understanding of control theory
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards (FCC, UL)
  • Understanding of medical device certification (ISO 13485, IEC 62304)
