About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead for embedded software implementation on Software Defined Radio (SDR) systems
  • Develop and validate requirements for complex communication, sensor, and electronic warfare systems
  • Design architectures to integrate complex components into higher-level systems and platforms
  • Perform modeling, simulation, and trade studies to optimize design performance
  • Conduct critical testing to validate design performance against established requirements
  • Support products throughout their lifecycle, from manufacturing to customer use
  • Generate major sections of proposals to support the development of new business

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry
  • 9+ years of work-related experience with a BS, 7+ years with an MS, or 3+ years with a PhD
  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience programming in C/C++, Python, or C#
  • Experience with embedded systems development and Linux environments
  • Experience with Kubernetes or other containerization technologies
  • Experience with message patterns or transport technologies (ZMQ, Apache MQ, etc.)
  • Experience working with Radar, EW systems, or RF hardware/subsystems
  • Experience with Open Architectures, specifically Big Iron
