About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement power system architectures for quantum computing platforms
- Develop and test power electronics hardware such as DC/DC converters, linear regulators, and power filtering systems
- Optimize power systems for low noise, high stability, thermal performance, and scalability
- Analyze system-level power integrity, grounding, and EMI/EMC performance
- Troubleshoot and debug complex power electronics issues in integrated hardware systems
- Collaborate with physicists, RF/optics engineers, and system engineers
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 5–7 years of experience in power electronics engineering
- Expertise in low-noise DC/DC power conversion or linear regulation
- Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools
- Experience with circuit simulation tools like SPICE
- Familiarity with system modeling tools such as MATLAB or Python
- Understanding of noise-sensitive systems and EMI/EMC mitigation
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Experience with sensitive instrumentation or physics-based systems
- Experience supporting hardware scaling from prototype to production
- Knowledge of international power standards
