Senior Electron Beam Welding Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain EBW procedures and supporting documentation (WPS/PQR) in compliance with AWS, ASME, and API standards
• Develop and execute weld qualification plans, including test coupons and validation trials
• Oversee EBW inspections to verify compliance with design specifications and quality standards
• Analyze weld test data to identify trends and implement corrective actions
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize EBW processes and efficiency
• Partner with design engineers and production teams to integrate EBW into manufacturing workflows
• Provide hands-on training and mentorship to welding technicians and operators
• Ensure performance and reliability of EBW systems, including high-vacuum chambers and power supplies
• Lead maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrade initiatives for EBW equipment

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of welding engineering experience
• Substantial hands-on experience in Electron Beam Welding (EBW)
• Experience with weld inspection methods (destructive and NDE)
• Experience working with austenitic stainless steels, carbon steels, piping systems, and pressure vessels
• Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and GD&T
• Familiarity with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and AWS standards
• Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading cross-functional projects or mentoring junior engineers
• Experience with manual and CNC machining operations
