Senior Electro-Mechanical Technician

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission electro-mechanical systems including base stations, generator sets, solar power systems, and backup battery systems.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on telecom power equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Diagnose and repair faults in power generators, AC/DC systems, cooling units, and other telecom site equipment.
• Troubleshoot technical problems such as power failures and equipment malfunctions in line with Service Level Agreements (SLA).
• Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance activities, and repairs, providing detailed reports on system performance.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians and collaborate with engineers to ensure seamless operations.
• Ensure all work complies with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in field services, specifically focusing on electro-mechanical equipment.
• Proven experience with telecom site equipment, including hybrid power systems, generators, and solar power systems.
• Strong knowledge of telecom networks, AC and DC power systems, and power distribution.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, multimeters, and other specialized testing equipment.
• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
