Senior Electrical Technician

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and troubleshoot early-stage prototypes based on engineering concepts and preliminary schematics
• Work from ambiguous or incomplete documentation using engineering judgment
• Support volume production and validate assembly/test procedures
• Execute fine-pitch crimping and cable/connector assembly
• Operate electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers
• Provide DFM and DFT feedback to design teams
• Document assembly methods, test results, and rework actions
• Ensure work meets IPC standards and internal quality/ESD procedures
• Mentor junior technicians and assist in training production personnel

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in electronics prototyping, rework, and production support
• Experience with fine-pitch crimping and miniature connector assembly
• Ability to interpret incomplete schematics and evolving designs
• Strong understanding of electronics assembly, ESD procedures, and component-level troubleshooting
• Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic development environment
• Must meet ITAR requirements (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CAD viewers such as Altium or OrCAD
• Familiarity with engineering change control and PLM tools
• Prior experience in regulated industries like aerospace, automotive, or medical
• Experience with rework of fine-pitch surface-mount components (0201, QFN, BGA, micro-BGA) using microscopes
