Senior Electrical Hardware Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate schematics, PCB layouts, circuit cards, and electrical interfaces
• Own circuit card design from concept through schematic capture, PCB layout, bring-up, and testing
• Develop analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power electronics designs for embedded systems and sensors
• Perform component selection, circuit analysis, and worst-case analysis
• Support PCB stack-up, grounding, signal integrity, and EMI/EMC design practices
• Collaborate with mechanical and thermal teams on electronics packaging and heat dissipation
• Develop and execute electrical test plans for subsystems and integrated hardware
• Support design for manufacturability and transition from development to production

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
• 7+ years of professional electrical engineering experience
• Experience designing hardware, circuit cards, and PCBs for spacecraft, aerospace, or defense
• Experience with spacecraft hardware or electrical systems
• Experience with flight systems, avionics, or mission-critical hardware
• Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design
• Proficiency with Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB design
• Experience owning board-level hardware through the full lifecycle
• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required for ITAR compliance

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
• 9+ years of experience in mission-critical hardware design
• Experience with flight-qualified or flight-intent hardware development
• Expertise in mixed-signal PCB design, power electronics, or motor controllers
• Knowledge of EMI/EMC design and environmental testing (vibration, shock, thermal, vacuum)
• Ability to maintain or obtain a Government Security Clearance
