Senior Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own and execute electrical continuous improvement initiatives to drive gains in quality, reliability, yield, and cost.
• Design, implement, and validate schematic, layout, and component-level changes to improve system performance and manufacturability.
• Lead hands-on root cause investigations for field returns and manufacturing failures using lab debugging and failure analysis.
• Partner cross-functionally with Mechanical, Firmware, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless integration of design changes.
• Develop electrical validation and characterization plans to ensure design changes meet production requirements.
• Work with contract manufacturers and suppliers to debug issues and improve yield in high-volume production.
• Execute end-to-end ECOs, including design updates, validation, and documentation.

Requirements

• BS or greater in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in consumer electronics or high-volume hardware.
• Strong electrical engineering fundamentals including circuit design, component fundamentals, and power supply design.
• Proficiency in schematic capture and layout design and review.
• Experience supporting hardware in mass production, including yield improvement and design for manufacturing/test.
• Proficiency with ECAD tools such as Altium and familiarity with PLM/ECO processes.
• Hands-on lab experience with standard electrical debug tools like oscilloscopes and multimeters.
